so Amy’s off having her stress test right now.  They’re trying to find out why she has such a big heart! :-)   I knew there was a reason for her loving me.

We go round and round about whether or not I’m worried about her.   Truth is, I care for her, and I know that God will take care of us… He always has.  I’m sure for some folks out there, and even for her, it’s a hard thing to come to grips with.

Anyway, I’m thinking about her, praying for her. If you could too that’d be excellent.

When I left for what ended up being Gulfport, MS last September, it was a completely selfless act. I didn’t really have a strong preference regarding it being selfless until just recently.

Last week at work I, along with about 20 other employees of our company, was presented with the Presidents Volunteer Service Award, for volunteering over 100 hours during the 2005. They made a big deal about it. The presentation occured during 1 of the 2 or 3 big “Town Hall” meetings that we have every year. The CEO of the company speaks about the direction of the company and at the end presented the awards. The service took place almost a year ago. I haven’t forgotten, but lots of people have. Receiving the award brings back all of the memories… not that I need any help. I have dreams about serving the folks of Gulfport at least once a week. But receiving the award has made folks ask me about what I did to get it. And then I have to tell them. And then I feel like I’m bragging. And then the whole experience feels cheapened. Would it be rude to say something like, ” I’d rather not talk about it, it loses it’s meaning.” Or, “it’s really not about me.”   It’s not that I don’t like to talk about it, because I do.  I’m having difficulty even putting it into words.

:-) My first 5lbs of green coffee arrived in the mail this evening from DeansBeans.com I’ve created a flickr set of the photos I took Hopefully the coffee will taste good. I know the first batch I took out a little before 2nd crack, around 3 minutes. The second batch I roasted until I was sure that I heard the 2nd crack. And dumped it then, right around 4:30
