About a month ago I was out eating lunch with friends from work. The restaraunt is sort of in a basement/lower level type thing, windows are up high, so you can see waist down to the sidewalk of pedestrians. Parked outside of the window was a FedEx van…. I had never noticed it before but there is an arrow in the logo, formed by the “negative space” between the E and the x. Don’t know what I’m talking about?

I had followed a link to this page, that shows how to split a bannana into 3 equal wedges, lengthwise. And he’s recently made the same observation….and got an interview the designer of the logo. How cool is that?

In other news, Randy Bohlender, a guy I “knew” in Cincinatti, recently moved to DC area, and has settled in a house/dorm type place in MD. He’s working with the JHOP, and wrote a great summary of the Terri Schiavo case…

Well I’m back at work today. I spent almost all of yesterday in bed or on the toilet. Yes Too Much Information, I know… Last night I felt the worst. I’m thinking it might’ve been caffeine withdraw headache coupled with the nausea. Amy went to a meeting last night and took the kids. While she was out I really felt like I might have to call 911 or something. But I didn’t. I laid down, took control of my breathing…. and finally fell asleep. I slept all night long. And woke up with an awful back ache, but that’s what you get when you spend almost 24 hrs in bed. I felt fine, but during the 30 minutes I spent waiting on my ride, that grumble returned to my tummy.

So I’m at work. I had some toast and jelly. I ate most of a bannana. and two cups of ice water. I’m feeling well enough to nurse a cup of coffee to feed the caffeine addiction.

I’m sure that all the Balti-bloggers are going to say something about the weather today. It was almost 60 degrees here when I woke up…. and it’s now snowing. Bizarre.

Well Thursday is my birthday. The BIG TWO SEVEN! :-) Nothing particularly special about that number, just one more day. I’m hoping that it’s a turning point…. of health and fitness and spirituality. Amy’s never been great at keeping secrets about presents… she always gives in like the week of the event and tells me or gives it to me. This year there has been a bit of talk about my present, but she’s got me stumped. I really don’t know what she got me. She told me yesterday it came in the mail. I just let it go…. no sense in trying to figure it out. And if I go looking through the house for it, I ruin my surprise. I can’t wait.

Last night Caleb and I built his very first snowman. Playing in the snow with just jeans on, and no snow pants or extra layer really gets you cold…. and wet. The process of making a snowman it just so much harder when trying not to get cold …. or wet. Our snowballs kept crumbling, and I was getting frustrated, and Caleb wasn’t helping…. so I started shoveling the drive. As I shoveled Caleb picked up a remnant from a collapsed snowman-body and started rolling it around on the car. I just let him keep going while I shoveled. Eventually it was bigger than his head. At one point he said, “This is gonna be great!”. Man, that stuff just warms my heart… and makes my eyes well up with big crocidile tears. Amy, supermom, came up with some excellent stand ins for charcoal and stuff for the face… we had skittles and a baby carrot. The baby carrot was perfect for the size snowman we made. I left the camera at home, but I’ll post a picture tonight.
