So throughout the day I send friends links to various stuff I find while surfing. I just thought that if I posted them, that I’d end up with quite a bit more posts on my blog. And then it’d look more like a blog, then a journal. At leat in my head. And I’ve gone through this before…. and it always is a journal to me. Anyway- some pretty crazy links I found today, I’d attribute them if I could remember where I got them, but most of them, I can’t.

Getting to see Five Iron Frenzy live made me appreciate their music so much more. Even though I haven’t listened to most of their newer stuff, it really is amazing. It’s too bad that this is their final tour. I’d love to be able to get to Denver to see their final show. It’s my goal, when we get some extra money, to acquire each and every album they’ve produced. Some excellent song writing and instrumental talent. Amy and Caleb also seem to get into them, even though it can be a little heavy at times.

Attending the concert with our churches youthgroup was also a ton better than going to the concert alone. It was pretty neat I think I actually connected with some of the kids, I really didn’t expect to. I’m glad that I got to spend time with the youth leaders as well. Amy and I really want to work at getting to know them better.

I have been falling asleep between 8 and 10 every night lately. I think it has something to do with taking allergy medicine. I’m just not used to it. I really feel bad for Amy because she ends up going to sleep way after I do, and I know that my snoring keeps her awake even longer. Not to mention that she’s not feeling well. She’s got a Pampered Chef party coming up on Saturday, and we have friends coming over tonight for dinner. They’ve been without power since sometime last Thursday night. We figured we’d share some with them. I told them to bring their laptops and go wireless with me ;-)

Well I was able to get out and take some pictures of the Harbor yesterday - Here they are. It’s my first time posting an album created using SnapGallery…..

Went to a long wedding today….. had to leave the reception before my favorite part- CAKE!!! In order to make it home in time to change to get to the FIF concert tonight.

Cya!

I did my hair a week ago- bleached it and I’ve been punking it up. I took my camera today in hopes of getting some pictures of Isabel. But as the voice in a Prophecy of Panic track says… you can’t see the wind, but you can see the effects of the wind. Unfortunately There’s not alot of trees or debris to see blowing around. Without further adieu - my hair:

So I’m an official employee, of my employer. I hope that I’ve been discrete enough about it so that you can’t find their name on my blog anywhere…. if you know me, and know where I work…. please don’t connect the two out here on the internet!

Anyway, I want to brag. My kid is a genius. It blows me away. This weekend he wanted to play on the computer, so I let him. I pulled up Playhouse Disney and we looked at a couple of the sections, specifically the Music section of Bear in the Big Blue House and Roly Poly Ollie- each activity is basically the same, characters or instruments are shown and music plays when you click on each one. I showed Caleb how to move the mouse over each person and how to click. I came in later and he was still doing it. This morning Amy sat down with him at the computer…. she was blown away at how he knew that when the pointer changed from an arrow to a little finger that he could click. It really is awesome. I almost feel bad for not encouraging his computer time more. I’m sure there’s synapses that are being connected that I have no idea about, but it’s neat to see them figuring things out.

The summer’s about over and Isabel wants to come visit. Unfortunately I think it’s gonna rain the whole time she’s here. :-) People aren’t particularly happy she’s on her way, in fact some people are panicing. What can you do, it’s really inevitable. Just tough it out. That’s all we can do. Especially with money so tight.

Well it’s about time to punch out. I’m sleepy. I’m gone.

Today was pretty rainy. In fact sometimes it wa so rainy that it was pretty hard to see while we were driving. We spent the morning laz-ing around, I’m pretty sure that that’s not a word. Anyway, this afternoon, Amy attended a bridal shower for her cousin while Caleb and I walked around the mall. I took a survey while at the mall for a buck. Didn’t have anything better to do. The survey involved me watching a preview for an upcoming movie starring Ed Harris and Cuba Gooding Jr. called Radio. It looks to be a movie about a retarded guy, played by Gooding, who is an excellent field goal kicker, and the struggle of him gaining acceptance on a new team, and his overcoming his handicap. It didn’t look particularly interesting, the guy giving the survey basically fudged all my answers, embellishing some answers and sometimes just picking something to hurry up the process. It was appreciated with Caleb there, he had a stinky diaper and we needed to hurry.

After picking up Amy from the shower, we went to Amy’s mom’s and bummed dinner off of her. We spent a few hours there, once again just laz-ing around. Here we sit listening to music videos, surfing the net, planning a Pampered Chef party.

Amy just made some quesadilla’s- I’m gonna go snack.

Our little boy seems to not be so little every day. He’s talking so much more, he’s singing whole songs. He plays by himself, he says, “bless you,” after you sneeze. He’s the cutest little thing. How can we not want to have another? :-) Caleb and I are laying in bed watching Spongebob. Amy’s out getting her hair done, for the first time in forever.

Next Monday I will be an official employee. I took off work early today to take the drug test. I’ve been preparing all week for it, this taking drugs thing is expensive… I’m glad I only have to do it once in a while. :-) Actually, I showed up at the place where I had to pee, but they didn’t have the correct form, so I called some other centers around and none of them had the form that was needed. I hadn’t planned on it taking long, but by the time I realized that I had to go to one of the few listed, they had already closed. So I’ll be going to work late tomorrow, I’ve got to take the drug test before I can be hired.

Amy just called and told me that she was on her way home. I’ve got some things to do between now and the time she gets here.

So it’s been a while since I’ve written here. It wasn’t until at least Wednesday that everything was peachy with the hosting…. so email is working as well as the webpages. It’s a beautiful weekend…started out yesterday with temps around 85 and clear, and today it was in the high 70s.

We spent the morning driving around and then walked to the state park. We played on a new playground, and then drove up to the swinging bridge before heading home. It was mostly a lazy morning. This evening was our friends sons first birthday party. We didn’t get home until about 8:15 or so. We’ve rented Bowling for Columbine and Basic. Waiting on the kid to zonk out before we pop them in.

Well it seems that as soon as I switched hosts, that the server my sites are hosted on are being DDOS’ed. And are practically unavailable. I haven’t been able to get email or anything for a few days. There’s really not a whole lot I can do. If had known that it was going to be down ths long i would have pointed our domains back. Just as soon as I get it pointed over I’m sure that it’d be fixed. I guess I have some need for my server afterall. Perhaps I can get things setup exactly the same and enable replication of some sort.
