..been reading stuff… Jay’s got me hooked! Bone is a comic, rather graphic novel. I’ve read most of the episodes, there’s 6- trade paperbacks- which each have 6 individual episodes in them- I’ve read the first 5. Jay has also lent me Watchmen, and one of the Batmans(pardon my ignorance, I haven’t been doing this long), and one caled Mauz. Tonight after our short “line-through” I stopped off at the bookstore, and picked up my first graphic-novel, I’ve ever bought- Jimmy Corrigan, Smartest Kid on Earth. Lot’s of people have written reviews of this book…. it’s certainly very different from any of the graphic novels I’ve read, or even picked up. I’ll keep you up to date about how it goes..

I’ve started neglecting this once more…. been working on some other projects…. PHP & MySQL Related…. want to play with my database? huh, bay-bee! Go ahead and add stuff to it, then see it listed in the queries. I’m proud of that. My current project is a random quote generator. There’s currently no way for the public to view the contents of the quote database, but if you really want to, stay tuned. The last thing that I’ve done is setup a simple mailing list- if you’d like to receive mail from me when our baby is born- add your name to the list.

In other news, been helping Christine out at the theater in middletown. I’m really diggin’ this place. Last night Amy and I went out there, she had some computers donated to her that needed some work done. Then we spent some time in the theater taking measurements for a groundplan- so we have something for future designers to work with.

My buddy Tom has applied to direct for them. He asked to direct Bus Stop, or The Glass Menagerie. Christine has someone in mind for The Glass Menagerie, but doesn’t have a clue who she’d get to direct Bus Stop, since Tom’s directed it before, he’s got a vision for the show. And he’s directed other musicals too! Christine’s husband Jay has written an original musical called Hood! Christine is interested in Tom directing that as well.

The most exciting thing about working with Rising Phoenix is the fact that they have an actual theatre!! That’s so excellent. It’s been a long time since I’ve worked in an actual theatre, never realized how different it is. Not to say that working with Know has been bad, or with MCP. But it’s just different. Anyone who is a techie knows what I mean.

Since Monday, I’ve been lucky enough to have received at least two seperate emails from my lovely wife. I never write back, I just don’t know what to write. I’m not nearly as eloquent as her. I know it frustrates her, but I do notice!! I love you hunny!

I’ve noticed that I exhibit very strange behavior when it comes to updating here. When I am busy outside of work and home, I post more frequently, then when I don’t have anything to do. My first hypothesis regarding why this is: 1. When I’m busy- I make different use of my computer time. 2. When I’m not busy, I make myself busy with other things, while in front of the computer- ie… surfing random sites, playing games, etc… I don’t know if that makes any sense or not, but it seems to be the way things are.

I frequently get email from Amy on Monday mornings. I guess that I neglected her so much this weekend that she didn’t have any desire to send me an email. I guess I missed that this morning.

I’ve also been slacking at my duties here at work! I need to pick up the ball and run with it, or something. I don’t know whats going on. Amy was mentioning she’s been depressed lately. Maybe I have too!

Sitting here in a training room for 4 1/2hrs… ugh! It’s cold. This training class is so packed full of information, and I don’t want to nod off or anything, and it’s stuff that I can’t ignore. I’m getting confused. We’re at a break right now. I wouldn’t be writing if I wasn’t.

Amy went to the dr. by herself for the first time. I feel so bad, I want to go, but I don’t have the time to take off and still have time to take when caleb decides to step into this world. It sounds like everything is going fine.

Training is starting again…

I’m probably late on the scene but this lilfestyle change card wrack by glassdog has got to be one of the funiest things I’ve seen.

Well I’ve converted over my main blog to the CSS format. Helping Dana with her CSS this morning, encouraged me to take the plunge and move the design from the testing side to the production side. Hopefully it looks good to you. If you have any suggestions let me know.

Jay is the founder of The Know Theatre Tribe, he and I are chilling before the show on last Thursday night. Jay has given me lots of opportunities to expand my horizons, given me the chance to get established in a Professional Theatre. THANKS JAY!!!
