Neglect
General27 Apr 2001 02:04 pm
I’ve been neglecting this area of my life for some reason. There just aren’t enough hours in a day, days in a week, weeks in a month. It’s not that I’ve been entirely too busy either. I’ve just been doing other stuff. Nothing particular.
This is the second time I’ve attempted writing in here, last time I got a call and continued browsing and lost all of my text- so I’m trying to remember what I wanted to write.
Going camping this weekend, should be fun. I’m excited. Lots of people joining us. There’s gonna be 10 adults 2 kids, 5 dogs. Woo Hoo!
We had a fire alarm here at work today. Apparently someone pulled it. Ooops!

The next couple weeks are looking to be exciting. Ann and Dennis (friends from MCP, Ann was Emily in Our Town) want to hang out tonight. We’ve been trying to hook up ever since the show ended. They live quite a bit away from us, but we’ve got lots in common, and we don’t want to loose touch. Every weekend we’ve called them somethings happened. One weekend Anns Grandfather died. Apparently he was really sick, and this was a “good thing”. Ann left us a message yesterday for us to call her, so we called and left a message for her. Hopefully we’ll be able to get together this evening. We may go and see Grease at Melanies school. She’s working on stage crew for this show and asked us to come. There’s a midnight showing tomorrow night that we had planned on going to, but tomorrow I’m planning on going to a Ghoti Hook concert at 7. I’m not sure we’d be able to make a 12 show, and be awake enough to enjoy it. Sunday we’re running cameras at church and then meeting with Jay to make a schedule for Track & Field. That should be interesting. Well I was gonna go into next week too, but it’s busy, next weekend we’re going camping with ex-co-worker Jim, and I’ve invited the couples from our Small Group to join us. I know at least one other couple will be coming, hopefully most of them. That’d be fun.

Tonight I went through all of the floppies that I had laying around. I moved all the jpgs off of the discs into a folder that I have to go through and sort at a later time, but I found this one. I thought it was adorable of my wife, thought I’d share it. Oh yeah… .it’d probably be a good thing to know that this was July of last year….. on our friend Melanies Birthday. We were at this park called Mt. Echo park, Melanie was in a production of Winnie-the-Pooh, the theater group was invited to perform it at this park for a special day. It was good. That was also the same day that I met with the cast and crew of Prelude to a Kiss, that I was called in to take over for a Stage Manager with Mono. Well it’s definately too late, got to go to bed. G’dnight.

Well I ended up getting Greymatter to work over at Dean-o.org, however, I still cannot access it from work, so I’m questioning whether to even use it or keep it here. At least here, I can update from work, but it’s still not on my server, essentially just as bad as relying on Blogger to be up. I’ve got to rely on m.e.o to be working.
In other news- I was surfing around using the newests Opera browser, which incorporates this thing called Gesture Movements. Where you hold down your right mouse button and make a movement, like drag down and right, or diagonal up-right or something, and the browser responds by opening a window, minimizing a window or something. On the metafilter thread that pointed these out, someone linked to Sensiva which is a software package that incorporates this type of gesture movement into all your programs. So using IE here at work, I can right click, and drag left to go back, or right click and drag right to go forward. I’ve really gotten used to it. This weekend while browsing I kept getting frustrated that I had to keep clicking the back button. When I got to work today, I forgot that I could just right click to go back.

Jesus Christ Superstar
General11 Apr 2001 08:31 pm
This evening while Amy was at a Production Meeting, and I was flipping channels, I heard some fimiliar music. It was the music from Jesus Christ Superstar, but the actors, and music were different. It ws the 2000 Jesus Christ Superstar. It’s much more engaging than I remember the first movie version being. This is one show that I’d love to be involved with, or at least see live- done well, not crappy. But of course, all shows are better seen when they’re good, as opposed to crappy. That’s a pretty stupid comment.
Memories!!
General11 Apr 2001 09:57 am
Meg wrote about memories. It was a funny thing too. I had a memory this weekend that my parents were having problems remembering it. We were discussing motorcycles, and my desire to have a cheap, old motorcycle. Amy asked where we’d put the baby. I thought about it a minute, then I remembered my dad strapping me into a babyseat on a motorcycle and driving around with me on it. I don’t remember how old I was or anything like that, but I told him about it, and it took him a while. I said I remember that happening, and he recalled that it was even before my brother being born. We’re only 18 months apart, so it had to have been younger than 18 months. I remember it. It’s amazing, I don’t remember many details, but I had this memory. Sometimes things like that blow you away. I don’t know how it happens. God is amazing!
Fried Chicken
General09 Apr 2001 10:47 am
Did you know?
The Baltimore/Washington area Wendy’s are the only Wendy’s in the United States that offer fried chicken. McCormick Spice Company in Baltimore custom blends a mouth watering old fashioned recipe and Wendy’s starts with Perdue chicken for the freshest, plumpest, tastiest fried chicken around.
First Entry from work

This is the first time I’ve connected to my GreyMatter site from a computer other than my home one. It looks like it might be working. I’m excited to also try some of the other stuff that can be had here at m.e.o. Such as a mySQL/PHP photo album, weblog other than greymatter. Well.
